Tucson, Arizona native Annabelle Nieman is a talented young professional whose passion for horses began at just three years old. After graduating in 2019, she made a bold move to California to work under top professionals like Tamie and Kaylawna Smith. Even while her horse was sidelined with injury, Annabelle immersed herself fully in the sport—traveling to the East Coast, working hard behind the scenes, and learning from the best. She later spent a winter training with Buck Davidson before returning home to Arizona, where she successfully brought her Canadian Warmblood mare, JLo, back to competition at the Preliminary level.
In 2023, Annabelle founded AWN Eventing, offering individualized training for horses and riders, as well as a curated sales program. Her long-term goals include building a successful import-based sales business and representing the U.S. internationally. She currently serves as the Head Trainer at Circle D, owned by Pam Farthing.
What sets Annabelle apart is her grounded approach: she rides for the joy, the challenge, and the connection. With every training ride and competition, she centers the horse first—honoring the process, the relationship, and the pursuit of progress.

Essential recognition of progress and excellence
At AWN Eventing, Annabelle operates with a clear, values-driven philosophy. This isn’t just a method—it’s a mindset. Each horse is approached as an individual, and each step is a building block toward long-term success and soundness.
Lightweight, durable saddles that allow for unmatched feel and contact.
A competition-safe, steroid- and antibiotic-free cream for wounds and fungus.
An all-natural supplement that reduces inflammation and supports mobility.
A performance formula that boosts muscle, focus, and overall condition.
Purchased in October 2025 from Clayton Fredericks with the help of two valued sponsors, this talented 2019 German Sport Horse gelding is the future of Annabelle’s upper-level string. She’s excited to produce him thoughtfully up the levels.
A Canadian Warmblood mare Annabelle produced from Beginner Novice to Preliminary, JLo played a pivotal role in her career. Now semi-retired and leased to a client for lower-level eventing, she remains an important part of the AWN Eventing story.
Elsa is a 6 year old imported from England purchased by Pam Farthing from Kaylawna Smith. Elsa has an impressive record and unlimited potential. She won the 2024 5-Year-Old Young Event Horse (YEH) Championship and is currently on track for Le Lion d’Angers in 2026. This special mare combines rideability, bravery, and exceptional scope. I am so grateful and excited to have her as part of the team.
